I teach all styles, ages, and abilities.

I’ve played and taught music all my life. I started taking lessons myself at 6 years old and continued through college. I have a Bachelor of Music degree from Berklee College of Music (Boston, 1989), have played in bands since the 7^th grade and currently play in two bands in Asheville, along with the occasional pop-up gig. I was a public school math teacher for ten years, a summer camp counselor/director for 30 years, and have been teaching guitar since high school. I’m a lifelong guitarist and educator. I currently teach private guitar lessons and a youth rock band ensemble. Aside from music, I’ve been teaching computer programming/hardware and writing computer textbooks for the last 20 years.

I teach online via Skype, FaceTime, and Google Meet. I also teach in-person at Asheville Music School.
